Central parking System, Inc., a leader in professional parking management, has declared the acquirement of Focus Point Parking’s assets, which is involved in remote monitoring and maintenance of parking services. At present, the parking technology of Focus Point is utilized in providing effective parking facilities for high-end customers in major cities including Seattle, Atlanta and Houston.
The assets obtained by Central Parking include the Focus Point parking service mark (sm) and the underlying framework of the command center used for remote observing of parking services found in Austin. In order to manage these assets effectively, the company has recruited many experts of the parking industry. Clyde Wilson, the joint founder of The Parking Network (TPN) is one of the newly hired professionals. He stated that with the expertise of Central Parking they can easily and competently scale up this technology.
Jim Marcum, President and Chief Executive Officer of Central Parking expressed his excitement over acquiring Focus Point’s latest technology. He said that this acquisition can help their company in bringing down the cost and offer better service to their customers. He informed that though all parking services will not feature the new technology, specific self-parking spaces in those cities with elevated labor rates will be offered assuring financial benefits. He added that this acquirement will help their company’s present plans of developing innovative solutions for addressing various needs of the parking industry.
