Forum Energy Technology (FET) has announced that it has signed an agreement with DOF Subsea AS (DOF) for the supply of six Perry XLX Generation 2 150 hp Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) and survey and tooling packages. The delivery is likely to occur by 2012.

While two systems will be delivered for mobilisation purposes aboard the Skandi Hawk in Singapore for work to be done in the Australasia region, the remaining four will be delivered for mobilisation purposes in Brazil and will be used to support the operations of DOF in Brazil. The total number of Perry ROV systems in the fleet of DOF will come to 34 with this new order. DOF is already using the Perry XL, Perry XLS and Perry XLX.

FET provides a wide range of technology starting from electric observation class ROVs to hydraulic work class vehicles, which can be used for deep sea water construction, inspection and survey. The vehicles can also be used for services and technologies using remote intervention. FET has a total of 3,200 employees around the world and specialises in providing technology and products that are required to meet challenges during the subsea production and drilling done in the oil and gas industries.
