GeckoSystems Presents SafePath Enabled Mobile Robot

Published on April 18, 2012 at 3:50 AM

By Andy Choi

GeckoSystems Intl recently declared that ZMP of Japan has procured GeckoSystems’ upgraded version of the BaseBot.

The company is well-established in the mobile robotics sector. Based on its proprietary software, GeckoSystems can upgrade the development and application capability of ‘Mobile Robot Solutions for Safety, Security and Service’.

BaseBot represents reactive, proactive and contemplative avoidance behaviors, ‘loose crowd’ level autonomy, cognizant navigation, and autopilot seek. ZMP engineers will have a virtual demonstration of these operational capabilities that can enable mobile robot behaviors including patrolling and errand running. The navigation technology being employed here also forms the basis for CareBot and SafePath wheelchairs and upgrade kits.

Established in January 2001, ZMP has been entitled to carry out intense operation with renowned industries and established educational institutions across Japan. ZMP is currently having discussions with a major Japanese university based on the benefits of robotic wheelchairs. Another future innovation anticipated by ZMP includes a RoboCar for pedestrian advantages. These upcoming innovative technologies will have instant market recognition as speculated by GeckoSystems and ZMP. Advancement in GeckoSystems will benefit the end-users with its high-potential utility and supreme value.

GeckoSystems technologies have been incorporated in BaseBot. Each component consists of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) function to improve its operational capabilities. An AI software overlay called GeckoSuper leverages these discreet systems, in addition to directing BaseBot systems.
