SCHUNK Displays its 3-Finger Centric Gripper PZN-plus 380 at IMTS 2012

SCHUNK will exhibit its 3-finger centric gripper PZN plus during the IMTS 2012 titled “Success in Manufacturing”. This new offering from SCHUNK is currently being offered in a new size.

The verified PZN-plus series has been upgraded with the new size 380 in order to comply with the consistent high performance requirements within the production industry. This new upgraded series from SCHUNK can efficiently handle workpieces weighing over 300 kg, up to 660 lbs, thereby demonstrating its heavy weight handling efficacy.

The PZN-plus 3-finger centric gripper’s multi-tooth guidance utilizes extensive gripping force and increased moment load capabilities. Available in a wide range of various versions, it ensures applications in areas with specific requirements such as temperature, dirt, chemicals, and more. A wide range of different versions assure that a specific gripper is available for every special application.

With this new size PZN-plus 380, the 3-jaw centric gripper family has been expanded to 11 distinct sizes that ensure grip forces up to 59,500N or 13,400 lbs including a stroke measuring approximately 2-in per jaw. The PZN-plus family is the extensive 3-jaw gripper on the existing market and is being offered in variety of configurations such as viton seals or metallic dust covers. The PZN-plus grippers’ unique versions demonstrate their potential to serve all conceivable applications.
