Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, and Sensor Technologies Co., Ltd. (Sentech), an expert in manufacturing industrial cameras, today confirmed joint product interoperability between Sentech’s USB 3.0 cameras and Icron’s 100m fiber based USB extender, the USB 3.0 Spectra™ 3022.
USB 3.0 cameras feature high-resolution, vibrant colors, fast frame rates and affordability, all of which are driving industry adoption in machine applications. However, USB 3.0 cable lengths are typically limited to three meters which may cause installation challenges when the camera is located away from the computer. Icron’s Spectra 3022 extender resolves this distance barrier by enabling USB 3.0 machine vision cameras, such as those from Sentech, to operate at full performance up to 100 meters.
Sentech’s CMOS USB 3.0 camera is available with a color or monochrome CCD, in a 1/2.5″ CMOS sensor with a 5MP resolution and 14 frames-per-second. This camera series is compatible with all standard industry drivers, and comes with the Sentech Viewing Software and SDK.
