15A Ranger is an A-sized, man-portable UUV that supports technology development related to mine warfare, expeditionary warfare, homeland defense, underwater surveillance / reconnaissance and other missions. 15A Ranger is also well suited for ocean research and commercial applications related to search and survey.

- Ease of Use: 15A Ranger is the diameter of a sonar buoy and weighs less than 20 kilograms, making it easy to handle in operational settings. It is quickly programmable with an Ethernet or WiFi connection. Ranger is easily launched and recovered by a single user operating from a RHIB (Rugged Hull Inflatable Boat) or other small craft, as well as from a ship or the shore.
- Flexibility: 15A Ranger is designed to carry a wide variety of payloads and sensors, ranging from a full set of water quality sensors to imaging sonar. Simple, well-defined interconnect requirements support the use of third-arty sensors without extensive Non-Recurring Engineering efforts.
