RSL have developed the ROV-A-CAM autonomous vehicle for use in confined spaces where an umbilical fed system would become entangled.
The unit is basically a remotely operated taxi capable of having a range of sensors attached.
Control signals are by R.F. and the video signals are fed back to the operator by a state of the art microwave system.
The ROV-A-CAM can be customised for a range of tasks, from conducting surveys of hazardous areas to gathering samples and, because of it’s skid steer track system, the unit is extremely manoeuvrable in confined areas.
It is available in a range of sizes from 200mm long upwards.
