ABB, a global leader in providing automation solutions, has received a purchase order from Schweitzer-Mauduit International for delivering electrical and automation equipments for Schweitzer’s greenfield specialty paper mill located in Philippines.
The capacity of this new mill is estimated to be 30,000 tons of Reconstituted Tobacco Leaf (RTL) per annum.
The automation systems to be delivered by ABB include an extensive DCS system which was developed out of 800xA, ABB’s extensive automated system. The electrical systems to be supplied are low voltage motors, Onan transformers, softstarters and low voltage motor control centers with drives and an. air insulated switchgear
The delivery of these electrical and automation systems will be executed by ABB’s indigenous operations in Philippines and Singapore.
