Liquid Robotics is renowned for the development of first wave-powered Wave Glider marine robot, and also known for providing ocean data services. It has recently been recognized by Fast Company that distinguished Liquid Robotics as one of the World's 50 Most Innovative Companies of 2012.
Other companies recognized by Fast Company include Apple, Amazon Facebook, Google, Gogo, Chipotle and PayPal. Liquid Robotics was recognized for ‘Going Deep in Ocean Monitoring’.
The CEO and President of Liquid Robotics, Bill Vass said that this distinc tion is a major milestone and is a result of the company’s innovation in revolutionizing the ocean monitoring strategies. This recognition will be commemorated by its employees, investors, customers and partners.

The Wave Glider is the first marine robot to utilize the ocean's wave energy for propulsion without refueling, manpower and emissions. Data collected by the Wave Gliders will help the company to meet the intricate demands that exist in marine environments such as natural disaster mitigation, ocean acidification inclusion, and fisheries management.
