It recently declared that it has entered into a partnership with robotics producer HDT Global, to obtain the MK2 Robotic Arm that can replicate near-human dexterity in order to support military and law enforcement forces.
The President and CEO of A-T Solutions, Dennis Kelly says that the main objective of the firm is to offer training and technology solutions that will ensure protection and security. The new robotic arm of HDT Global is capable of enabling bomb technicians to resolve and evaluate the explosive devices from a secured distance, thereby bringing significant transformation to the C-IED and EOD communities. A-T Solutions firm anticipates working with HDT to make the tool’s installation and application procedures familiar among the filed team.
The MK2 robotic arm has resulted from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency initiative to construct a highly sophisticated prosthetic. Based on proprietary technology, MK2 provides powerful, lightweight remote ground unit that can perform near-human dexterity. It is versatile enough to be compatible with any tool designed for human hands and performs multiple, complex tasks that a robotic arm cannot perform.
The MK2 Robotic Arm easily adapts with several robots and installation systems that are widely deployed by military and law enforcement organizations. The MK2 can control a power drill, scrutinize a suspicious package, and unfasten a backpack thereby disabling explosive devices.
The Fredericksburg Regional Technology Council recognizes both A-T Solutions and HDT Global. A-T Solutions was entitled ‘Emerging Technology Company of the Year’ while HDT Global was honored with the ‘Innovator of the Year’ title.
