Health Robotics recently declared that it has been honored with the most coveted INDUSTRIESPREIS 2012 Award for its innovative i.v.STATION Robot. The award was presented during Germany's Hannover Messe, a technology trade fair. This latest award is successive to the 5th Annual Club Meccatronica Prize achieved by Health Robotics in 2011.
According to the EVP of Health Robotics, Gaspar DeViedma, Health Robotics is an innovative company to offer Robotics as well as Non-Robotics' based Intravenous Admixture Compounding Automation solutions that is effective for TPNs, Chemotherapy, and other IVs in hospitals. This company has achieved 10 times more installations than its other global competitors. Furthermore, Health Robotics is the unique company in medical field to be presented with multiple International Technology Awards for its innovative and outstanding intravenous compounding medical devices.
Established in 2006 by Huber Verlag für Neue Medien, the INDUSTRIEPREIS was presented to companies in 14 categories that recognize products based on highly economical, technological, ecological or social value. Each year, the nominees and winners have been selected by a jury of 30 experts including specialized journalists and senior professors. Over 500 applications have been evaluated in 14 different categories including Medical Devices. Health Robotics' i.v.STATION (Sterile Compounding Robot), Sarastro/APE (Controlled Release of Active Substances), and G-Tec (Brain-Computer Interface) received the 2012 Medical Device Award. Past Award recipients in the Medical Device category were Gamro and Schwind.
