At Eurosatory, the Danish Acquisition and Logistics Organization declared that it has presented AeroVironment with a firm fixed-price contract order of $9.6 M.

Under the contract, AeroVironment’s Puma AE small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) will be delivered to Danish Armed Forces. After a competitive evaluation, AeroVironment was chosen for this contract.
According to the Senior VP and General Manager of UAS at AeroVironment, Roy Minson, the company’s small unmanned aircraft systems are being purchased by allied armed forces to enable small tactical teams to carry out more safe and efficient operations.
AeroVironment’s Puma AE, Wasp or Raven B small UAS have been procured by 18 nations outside the U.S.
The compact, battle-proven Puma AE weighs only 13-lb and is operated by AeroVironment’s common Ground Control System. It is ideal for use in maritime and land-based operations.
AeroVironment’s range of small unmanned aircraft systems includes RQ-20A Puma, RQ-11B Raven, Wasp AE, and Shrike VTOL. Based on a common ground control system (GCS) for operation, this family of systems ensures the warfighter with enhanced potential to perform the mission efficiently with the ideal aircraft. Besides serving the security personnel and small tactical units, AeroVironment also provides global logistics services. The company has been delivering new and replacement small unmanned air vehicles to U.S. clients and to 18 international governments as well.
Designed for law enforcement, first response and other public safety missions, the Qube small UAS is compact enough to fit within the trunk of a car, and provide simple unpacking and rapid re-assemblage capability.
