FANUC Robotics Launches R-1000iA-100F Spot Welding Robot

FANUC Robotics America has declared the launch of R-1000iA/100F, the latest high-speed robot ideal for material dealing, spot welding and machine tending operations, in booth 6655 at Fabtech 2010, held at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, from November 2 to 4.

It was reported that the event will feature the latest R-1000iA/100F with an in-built FANUC Servo Gun Control, which is FANUC’s Primary Axis Solution Arm designed to perform spot welding operations as well as a small servo weld gun for carrying out re-spot activities on a compact automotive sub- assembly.

The iRVision Error Proofing of FANUC is utilized to verify the availability of weld stud on the sub-assembly. The proper tip design and its position can be confirmed by means of iRVision Weld Tip Inspection. Additionally, the Dual Check Safety (DCS) Speed and Position Check software of FANUC restricts the robot within the small workspace.

The various features of R-1000iA/100F includes a 100 kg payload with a thin layout facilitating reduction in the size of the automation system by utilizing several robots in every work cell, small footprint enabling easy access to nearby objects and a huge work casing. The robot can also be placed either on the floor or can be mounted in an inverted position and has a large work area.
