Incidents of crime, theft, break-in, and vandalism continue to rise each year. Intelligent Automation, Inc. (IAI) introduced today its ARGUS™ IS Series product to provide unattended and reliable protection for commercial, industrial, government, and institutional infrastructure.
Derived from technology developed for U.S. Military applications, ARGUS™ IS is an agile and reconfigurable perimeter security system consisting of wireless sensors networked together to form a protective, invisible trip wire to secure assets. Using as few as two to as many as fifty ARGUS™ IS devices, vast areas or separate regions within warehouses, manufacturing, construction, and corporate sites can be secured without the need for armed guards and expensive surveillance camera systems. ARGUS™ IS provides alerts of intrusions of the perimeter and captures images of the intrusion event with its integrated Pan Zoom Tilt cameras that are sent directly to an ARGUS™ command computer display, existing remote monitoring stations, or to any cellular telephone(s). ARGUS™ IS is fully interoperable with a wide range of off-the-shelf surveillance systems and can also be used to trigger existing surveillance camera systems to maximize video monitoring effectiveness, while reducing surveillance system manning requirements. Camera images and alert data are archived within the ARGUS™ IS command computer for analysis and potential prosecution. Never before has physical security been so easy and convenient.
