artec technologies Recognized by US Magazine CIO Review for Video Security Technology

artec technologies AG belongs to the top 20 most promising companies on the video security technology market. This is the result of a current study of the renowned US magazine CIO Review.

According to the industry experts of the US technology magazine, artec belongs to the top 20 of more than 500 companies both having a lasting impact on the market and breaking new ground. artec technologies offers a unique IP-based modular technology platform allowing for customizing to individual customer requests as well as for easy update to be in line with the technical progress.

“We are very pleased with this award. It proves that we continuously maintain our innovative strength as an industry pioneer. We are excellently positioned to address the growing security needs of public institutions and companies”, said Thomas Hoffmann, CEO of artec technologies AG.

“Due to the revolutionary video security technology, artec technologies has already been on our radar for quite some time. We are happy to recognize and reward artec this year for continuously providing technology-driven top solutions", stated Jeevan George, Managing Editor of CIO Review. “Customers throughout the world benefit from the fact that artec technologies has been breaking new ground for years, and we are delighted to present them on our top list."

artec technologies products and system solutions are based on the self-developed MULTIEYE platform and clearly stand out from the mass market. The company's customers particularly include industrial companies as well as emergency services. artec’s high-end solutions are characterized by the combination of audio and video signals as well as meta data. Despite their complexity, they are easy to install (plug and play). Moreover, both monitoring and file storage comply with the data protection regulations according to the German Federal Data Protection Act.

The highly developed artec software analyses and preventively documents unusual events. An alarm and, if necessary, fully automatic counteractive measures are initiated in case of danger. This enables the detection of e.g. left or loitering objects in defined zones. The range of applications even includes thermography: industrial plants storing e.g. flammable materials can now be monitored extensively for temperature abnormalities. Even people and vehicles moving towards a property line in a certain direction and at a specified distance can be detected in real time. If required in terms of personal rights, people may be anonymized by pixelation. Although they can’t be identified initially, their actions are clearly evident on the video monitors. Since the cameras record unveiled footage, the playback is subject to strictly secured access control and available for authorized personnel only.

Thomas Hoffmann: “Over the past years, we have already noticed a constantly growing request for video surveillance systems in conjunction with increasing data volumes for storage and analysis. However, in the first weeks of the new year, we see enquiries gaining new dynamics - in particular from government institutions. This refers not only to quantities, but also to scope." Being a technology leader, artec is excellently positioned for the future.
