Mechatronics

Mechatronics is the synergistic combination of Mechanical engineering, Electronic engineering, Computer engineering, Control engineering, and Systems Design engineering to create, design, and manufacture useful products. Due to development of fiber optics and other light technology, optical engineering and fiber optics are being integrated into the course and are replacing some electronics courses. The term mechatronics is defined as a multidisciplinary engineering system design, that is to say it rejects splitting engineering into separate disciplines.

Panasonic Electric Works Corporation once again expands its line of PLCs with the introduction of the first compact Impulse Heat Controller PLC. The Impulse Heat Controller is ideal for small machines where space is a premium, yet, it is required to perform difficult tasks.
Other Equipment
MVC Plus Series Controller is designed to start AC motors in any fixed speed application. It provides maximum protection with "True Thermal Modeling," while allowing smooth, stepless control of acceleration and deceleration. The MVC Plus Series guarantees power control and protection for your most important assets.
IBL2401 is a flexible, compact, cost-effective solution particularly adapted to the distributed and co-ordinated control of brushless, DC, linear or step motors of powers up to 25 W, and voltages up to 24 V.
The newest shape memory alloy (SMA) actuator to join the Miga lineup is the Dash4™, providing over 1.75 pounds of actuation force and a stroke of 0.23". The built-in limit switch allows for safe operation over a wide range of voltage (and speed) when used along with the MAD-v5.
The PICDEMW™ Mechatronics demonstration board is an easy-to-use mechatronics development and demonstration platform. Mechatronics refers to implementing intelligent control in a mechanical system.
To support applications with the highest power requirements, such as web handling, printing and converting, Rockwell Automation has expanded its family of servo drives with the new Allen-Bradley Kinetix 7000 drive. With a power output of up to 150 kilowatts, this new high power servo drive extends the benefits of Kinetix Integrated Motion to an even greater range of applications.
The Servo Driven Dial Indexer is a combination of the time proven RD series indexers with a constant lead cam and a servo ready, right angle gear reducer. The cams are hardened and precision ground for optimum performance and rugged durability. All of the bearings are oversized for maximum stability and extended life.
The single axis ION drive is based on the Magellan® Motion Processor, and provides CANBus and serial communications. It is ideal for medical, scientific, semiconductor, automation, industrial and robotic applications.
The CP-3550 Control Pack is a system controller that has enough capacity to provide centralized and integrated control for a large-scale plant. With its high performance, advanced functions, and easy handling, the CP-3550 can meet your requirements for high throughput, redundant system, and centralized control of sophisticated systems.
The StaRRsed Compact is our latest type ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) analyzer, based on the functions of earlier models of StaRRsed. It produces a true Westergren result and conforms to the recommendations of the International Council for Standardization in Heamatology (ICSH).
