Immersion Inspection is a test method in which the test object and the transducer are submerged in a liquid (usually water) that acts as the coupling medium. The probe is not usually in contact with the test specimen.
PARI Portal robots are multi- axis robots, use for applications requiring frontal or side access, like press tending, machining centers, heat-treatment & forging. These robots are available in various kinematic configurations.
The system uses an industrial robot to provide the automated inspection of holes drilled in aluminium or composite test coupons. The robot is equipped with Smart Plugs mounted on the robot wrist which are able to accurately measure and record hole diameters.
Ederer overhead gantry cranes are a variant of the bridge crane design, with legs. However, gantry cranes have their own characteristics and a similarly wide range of applications, principally outdoors.
This is a Cartesian axis solution often realized in combination with articulated robots to cover a limited horizontal work envelope. This concept places the main axis between port and starboard jigs or along a longitudinal side. It can be based on simple TrackMotion Module with or without articulated robot or any other axis combination.
IRC5 is ABB’s fifth generation robot controller. Its motion control technology, TrueMove & QuickMove, is key to the robot’s performance in terms of accuracy, speed, cycle-time, programmability and synchronization with external devices.
Flexible Extrusion Machining Center (FXMC) is a High Velocity 3 Axis-Machining Center, with an extrusion feed unit, integral part fixturing, and a synchronized part indexing (rotating) system.
The high-speed PX800 robot offers minimal footprint and superior performance in coating applications. The compact, space-saving design of the PX800 robot makes it easy to mount on the floor, wall or ceiling. Its full six-axis capability ensures proper gun angles for painting small parts.
Snake-arm robots are flexible in more ways than one and their versatility allows them to be useful in a wide range of situations. OC Robotics has been working with Airbus UK to develop a flexible robot system capable of conducting a variety of low access assembly tasks.
The parallel input/output (PI/O) device provides the optical interface between semiconductor process equipment and automated material handling systems (AMHS). As more fabrication facilities implement factory automation processes, the requirement for an optical PI/O solution is present.
