V-REP: Simulation of Milling Robotics

This video demonstrates the inverse kinematics functionality, the "path" functionality and the "cutting" functionality of V-REP. A robot is following a predefined path with its milling tool and cuts holes away from a part. The cutting volume here is revolute (bullet shape), but can be any combination of convex volumes. This allows modelling a large variety of cutting tools accurately (mills, lasers, water/sand jets, melting tools, etc.). The robot CAD model in this scene is courtesy of ABB Robotics. ABB Robotics has however no link of any kind with V-REP or this simulation.

Run time - 0:28 minutes.
