LABOTIX Automation will be working on upgrading the Mega Lab at Maccabi Healthcare Services. Maccabi Healthcare Services has a member network of 1.85 million consisting of physicians working in 300 branches, medical labs and clinics.
Lab Automation system
All the operations are centralised at the Mega Lab, which houses over 320 specimen collection sites and serves 15,000 patients daily. The new automation system that is to be installed at Maccabi will be one of the largest in the world, capable of processing more than 54,000 specimens in 12 h.
The LABOTIX open automation system will take over the sorting of the containers that carry the specimen into deccappers, direct-track sampling analyzers, robotic analyzer, automated aliquotters, refrigerators storage managers and recappers. LABOTIX will continue to work with Gamidor Diagnostics for distribution and servicing of their products. Gamidor is responsible for supply of reagents, chemicals and other services to clinical and research laboratories and also delivers lab automation solutions based on LABOTIX open architecture.
