AAI Logistics and Technical Services Earns Training Provider Certification in UAS Category

Sweden Armed Forces Technical School, regarded as one of the top most in providing military training services has awarded the maintenance training provider certification for the unmanned aircraft system (UAS) training to AAI Logistics and Technical Services.

AAI is one of the first UAS training providers that has earned the distinction in the UAS category and the sixth amongst the providers of fixed and rotary wing manned assets.

In order to earn the Sweden Armed Forces Technical School certification, the training provider has to conform to their standards and also make sure that their training personnel meet their standards. The training program at AAI covers training for Shadow Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System; the training program meets the Swedish Rules of Military Aviation RML-V-7F. These rules specify the standards for the training levels and content for both theoretical and practical aspects of training. Training for Swedish maintainer and operator trainees is being held at AAI as part of the second round of Shadow system training. The Shadow TUAS has been developed by Textron Systems, which is an operating unit of AAI Unmanned Aircraft Systems. Apart from providing training on Shadow TUAS, AAI provides training for other UAS’ as well. Training infrastructure includes classrooms, simulation and practical-training techniques. The validity of the Swedish certification will continue until AAI services conform to the Swedish Rules.
