B&R Industrial Automation has signed a technological collaboration deal with Cognex to use its Powerlink control system in Cognex’s In-Sight machine vision products.
According to both companies, the easy integration of the B&R control system and Cognex In-Sight products would benefit machine producers. The integration of a number of machine designs would also provide a major benefit to machine producers.
The Managing Director at B&R, Hans Wimmer commented that the result of the strategic collaboration is a comprehensive solution that integrates control, visualization and drive technology for ultra-accurate and superior-speed product monitoring in manufacturing line operation. The Cognex In-Sight products are combined in the B&R system through the Powerlink, he added.
