Yokogawa Electric has declared that Dr. Maurice J. Wilkins, who served as Vice President of the company’s IA Global Strategic Technology Marketing Center (USMK) in Dallas, has been selected by CONTROL, a prominent US industry magazine, to be included into the Process Automation Hall of Fame, Class of 2011.
Executives who make significant contributions in the process automation and control industry are recognized by inducting into the Process Automation Hall of Fame. The Process Automation Hall of Fame originated back in 2001 and a total of 34 people have received this honor till date.
This year's nominees include Dr. Sigurd Skogestad of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Dr. Wilkins, John Berra, the former chairman of Emerson Process Management.
Dr. Wilkins has contributed to the set up a procedural automation standard for the process industries aimed at improving safety and efficiency at manufacturing sites and tracking the skill set of the aging workforce.
