Robotic Exoskeletons for Disabled People

Quantum International is exploring novel improvement in robotic exoskeletons that have potential applications as real life savers.

Robotics companies like Ekso Bionic s are developing robot suits powered by batteries that will allow patients suffering from paraplegia to stand and walk. This robotic solution will serve as a boon for disabled people worldwide. Recent advances in robotics have led to achieving independent mobility for paraplegics.

New robotic exoskeletons that can restore the walking potential of paraplegics are being developed by worldwide researchers. Quantum is now investigating ways to create lightweight, intuitive exoskeletons that will serve to be an attractive, cost-effective option for able-bodied laborers in addition to supporting the disabled, as it is capable of reducing the load of heavy machinery and tools.

According to Quantum CEO Robert Federowicz, with the emergence of bionic era, Quantum intends to leverage this opportunity. These exo-devices promise lucrative market but further significant development work will encourage the marketplace. Quantum has enough resources to bring the plan to fruition.

Quantum explores potentially lucrative new robotics innovations designed for marketing and commercialization, where health and healthcare serves to be the company’s major target of interest. At present, the company is focusing toward a definitive agreement with the Poland-based prestigious Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP) in Warsaw.

PIAP is advancing towards European robotics innovation, and the institute is carrying out several robotics projects and Quantum anticipates drawing major interest from both businesses and consumers.
