APICE was born in April 1990 from the two promoting partners' passion for electronics. Firstly the company started to deal with the industrial automation of textile engines, motorized panels with robots for welding and moving of automatic warehouses. The main will of partners was the creation of a trade-mark on the market; so, that was the reason why the Research and Development department implemented, in 1992, the first intelligent terminal equipped with a keypad, a display and a magnetic cards reader, whose introduction was made on the occasion of Sicurezza 1992 fair in Milan.
