Omnicell to Supply Automated Medication Solutions to Orange Regional

Omnicell Inc., a leading provider of automated systems for healthcare facilities, has declared that Orange Regional Medical Center had selected their company for supplying automated medication systems.

After performing an extensive analysis of Omnicell’s competent product lines, their automation systems were chosen for enhancing inventory management, improving security and medication accuracy at the center. It was reported that in 2011, Orange Regional will start a new 383 bed facility in Orange Regional, New York, featuring Omnicell’s automated solutions.

Rob Lee, Executive Director of Marketing and Spokesman for Orange Regional Medical Center has stated that their mission is to offer effective medical care for the security and wellbeing of their patients. He added that Omnicell’s automation systems help in effective utilization of space and will enable them to readily provide medication to the patients.

‘Anywhere RN system,’ of Omnicell will be installed in Orange Regional which enables nurses to evaluate and choose medication orders from any of their medical centers. Among all competent offerings, Omnicell cabinets have the highest ability per sq ft of floor space, thereby facilitating the staff to avail 90 to 95% of medications which can be kept on the floor.

Christopher Drew, Senior VP, Field Operations, Omnicell has stated that Orange Regional had approached their company for enhancing patient care through medication management and Omnicell had found that their automation solutions matched with the strict demands of the hospital and they are determined to work with Orange Regional in its existing medical centers as well as during the shift to the new facility.
