Flexicell to Demonstrate Robotic Palletizing and Packaging Products at Pack Expo

Flexicell, a leading supplier of robotic solutions for packaging industry, will demonstrate its robotic collating, picking and palletizing products in booth 3651 at PACK EXPO 2010, which will be held at the McCormick Place, Chicago, between October 31 and November 3.

These products include High-speed Robotic Collating System, High-speed Robotic Picking system and a SmartCart Palletizer.

The High-speed Robotic Collating System is a case packing system which combines the M-3iA and M-420iA robots for quick packing and unpacking. The products are picked from trays by the M-3iA robot which puts them on an in-feed belt that transfers the objects to the high-speed collator. After collating all the objects, the M-420iA robot picks them and will arrange them inside the trays.

The High-Speed Robotic Picking system acts as a FANUC’s demonstration cell that enhances the picking of gum packs from a moving line of production. By means of FANUC’s incorporated iRVision, the robot identifies the arbitrarily located product and positions it on a second moving production line.

The SmartCart Palletizer utilizes a FANUC M-410iB/140 robot featuring two Jervis-Webb SmartCarts for performing palletizing and de-palletizing cases. The cases are taken from the conveyor by the FANUC M-410iB robot and are arranged on the SmartCart which moves the pallet stack to the other side of M-410iB to carry out depalletization.
