ASIMO, a subsidiary of Honda Motor’s Robotics Research and Development program, has celebrated its 10th anniversary on October 31. Before ten years, Honda developed an innovative humanoid which instigated a new revolution in human robot technology. To celebrate this date, Honda has released new films and websites, describing the story behind its innovations.

"Run with ASIMO", an application software for Android smartphones and iPhone includes several robots of Honda and ASIMO, which can communicate with the user and it was reported that these versions of iPhone and Android will be launched soon.

In June 2003, the ASIMO program was launched at the Technical University of Darmstadt and so far it has trained several people and many robotic researchers have approved this research and development program.

Honda’s mission is to build a humanoid robot to assist people in doing regular chores as well as any task that people seek help in. Presently, the company is researching to include intelligence and enhancing communication and association between humanoids and people. The major mission of the ASIMO is to develop a completely deployable robot and continue building intelligent systems for incorporating it into the other products of Honda.
