Mazor Robotics has signed a distribution contract with AB Medica for widening its presence in Europe. AB Medica will procure the first SpineAssist surgical robot during the first quarter of this year.
AB Medica is an Italian company involved in supplying sophisticated medical devices, in particular for less-invasive surgeries. It is a supplier of Intuitive Surgical’s Da Vinci surgical robot.
By the end of 2010, Mazor Robotics sold its first SpineAssist surgical robot for Netherlands-based spinal surgical operations. The company has reported that the distributor in Netherlands has vast experience in selling spinal surgical products. Mazor Robotics also functions in Switzerland, Israel, Russia, Germany, Austria and the US.
