iRobot has declared that it has received $4.4 million worth global orders in the first quarter of this year. The company will deliver 27 iRobot 510 PackBot tactical mobile robots as well as spare components.
The 510 PackBot of iRobot is deployed in several risky operations like bomb removal, inspection and other perilous tasks for first responders and soldiers.
Robert Moses, President of iRobot's Government and Industrial Robots Division, has mentioned that their collaborators have understood the significance of their robots. He mentioned that the rising global market offers a significant opportunity for their company. He added that they are expecting that the sales of their Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle (SUGV) and PackBot could account for 15% of revenue of their government and industrial robots division.
Last year, the Government and Industrial Robots division of iRobot received $13.2 million worth of procurement orders. The government and industrial robots of the company were supplied to around 25 nations, among which seven were new clients.
