Trace Launches New Automation Software at SolidWorks Conference

Trace Software has released the latest version of elecworks automation software. The software was unveiled at the 13th Annual SolidWorks World 2011 Conference, which was held at San Antonio between January 23 and 26.

The conference was attended by product designers, engineers, collaborators and managers. The future of product design segment was extensively discussed in the conference. The attendees also experienced how SolidWorks and elecworks software can help clients to realize electrical installation and automation projects from two dimensional diagrams to 3D layouts.

The elecworks software is SolidWorks Gold Partner Product. It has been exclusively developed to easily include electrical diagrams in the present SolidWorks platform. It features a supplementary Routing and Cabling module for automatically including machine and panel wires in 3D platform. It also offers new adaptability for PLC dealing and also features a PDM link module to handle electrical project information in SolidWorks Enterprise PDM system.

Dr Pedro Puig Deu, General Manager of Trace Software, has stated that the elecworks software enables designers in linking electrical needs with their mechanical projects by means of instantaneous alteration abilities. He added that they are participating in the SolidWorks conference for the third year and their elecworks can effectively cope with the demands of designers.

According to Nick Iwaskow, DS SolidWorks Manager of Alliances, clients are expecting ingenuity and competence from manufacturers for enhancing product design and development. He mentioned that obtaining electrical design through elecworks that is seamlessly integrated to SolidWorks can profoundly enhance productivity and augments innovation, enabling engineers to design new products.
