A team of researchers headed by Pieter Abbe, a Professor at the University of California, have developed a robot that can fold socks and towels.
Pieter Abbe has stated that several scientists across the world are working on developing robots capable of doing chores like washing clothes, arranging a table and tidying up a dirty place.
Abbe mentioned that their research is progressing steadily. He said that it will take another ten years to enable robots to perform all the daily chores of humans. However, it is believed that building such robots are close to reality and that they will benefit millions of people across the world.
