Robot Hand to Conduct Alcohol Compliance Checks

Stanford university researcher, Professor Zhenan Bao is building a robotic hand that is capable of checking for alcohol compliance with just a light touch.

The robot’s hand will be powered by an array of ultra-sensitive, stretchable solar cells that can detect chemicals and biological molecules in liquids with a single tap. This robotic hand can be integrated to form a robot cop, which conducts alcohol compliance checks. The robotic hand will diagnose the diseases present in humans by a mere touch. One of the key technologies developed by Bao’s team includes a flexible organic transistor for identifying certain types of DNA.
