VisionServer 6.0 software is now available online, developers of machine vision solutions and integrators of control systems will be able to download the software from the Internet.
The software comes in a dot net framework and can be used in the development and deployment of Cognex In-Sight smart cameras and other robotics solutions. Implementation of machine vision and automation solutions using the software is much quicker and much less cost wise. The code is re-usable and the task of trouble shooting is much simple using the software.
David Berry, the managing director of ControlVision, was instrumental in developing the VisionServer software. The software was born out of 10 years of ControlVision’s hands on experience on integrating numerous machine vision and automation solutions. Berry is of the opinion that the new software is bound to be more useful to integrators who are currently using conventional Human Machine Interface products with vision systems. The software is exclusively developed for machine vision systems and robotics including HMI features, communication protocols, built in database with support for image processing libraries and smart cameras. Berry explained that the dot net framework can be easily extended to new products and technologies that will come up in the future. He pointed out that automation systems, which are flexible in accommodating future enhancements prove to be a cost effective solution. VisionServer is built on the lines of a framework that supports a broad range of industrial applications and devices and hence contributes in minimising development costs.
