GeckoSystems International has signed a bilateral non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with a defence manufacturer to form a joint venture which will emphasise on research and development and marketing projects in the US and European Union.
This announcement follows their earlier joint venture announcement with a Chinese manufacturer along with ZMP from Japan to manufacture wheel chairs that incorporate GeckoSystems Artificial Intelligence Navigation system.
GeckoSystems is pioneer in the field of mobile robotics industry and aims to establish a global presence through its “Mobile Robot Solutions for Safety, Security and Service”. Its CareBot, a mobile service robot (MSR) has been incorporated into a wheel chair that ensures a “collision free “system. GeckoNav is the proprietary navigation software that ensures this system works as said. This software has wide application in health care and defence industry in different markets.
It is proof of the flexibility GeckoSystems MSRs can operate in different platforms in aiding the senior citizens similarly to that of the disabled who use the wheel chair. The UK based defence contractor has agreed to sign the “Special Safety” clause under this joint venture. The clause states that the mobile robot solutions can be used harm individual, property and other lives if the MSR technology falls into the hands of terrorist, enemies of the state in the form of criminals and is paramount that MSR safety is implemented in utilizing the same.
