Advanced Defense Technologies Works on Tiny Lightweight Drone and UAV System Development

Advanced Defense Technologies, announced today the Company is developing small lightweight drone and UAV systems for the homeland security and public safety markets.

The "U.S. Homeland Security & Public Safety Market-2013-2020" states annual investments in HLS and Public Safety products and services purchased by the U.S. Federal agencies and private sector increased from $48 Billion in 2011 to $51 billion in 2012 and is forecasted to increase to $81 billion by 2020.

ADTI has positioned itself with key technology partners to expedite product development, manufacturing, and system development as technology advances and better performance drive demand for the Company's lightweight drone systems. The drones are envisioned to provide defensive measures against threats through consistent and targeted surveillance.

R.S. Tahim, President and CEO of Advanced Defense Technologies Inc., stated, "Our lightweight drones will be launched by hand and are envisioned to be both military and public safety officers' primary surveillance tool. Law enforcement operations, search and rescue, and public safety officers should be able to launch and control the unmanned systems with limited experience and collision risk as all of the drones will be equipped with ADTI's sense and avoid technology. Expanding homeland security and public safety officers' surveillance capabilities through the use of lightweight drones will increase security at a lower cost as it will be generally be cheaper to fly a small drone over a burning building, a busy port, or miles of international border than it is to hire and clear a manned plane or helicopter."
