Douglas Merrill Former Google CIO to Deliver Keynote at Automation Nation 2014

LabTech Software, the only powerful, robust-featured remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform developed by a managed service provider (MSP) for managed service providers, today announced Douglas Merrill, former CIO and VP of Engineering at Google, will deliver the keynote at this year's Automation Nation. The fifth annual event will be held June 2-4, 2014 at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, FL.

"We are thrilled and honored to have tech guru Douglas Merrill at Automation Nation 2014," said Amy Hodge, Director, Community for LabTech Software. "In addition to his incredible experience at Google, Douglas installed, configured and maintained IT infrastructure in his early career, giving him a deep understanding of the day to day lives of the Automation Nation attendees. His passion for technology and innovation will inspire and rejuvenate the audience, challenging them with a counter-intuitive view of innovation in business."

During his tenure at Google, Merrill managed a team of 1,500 colleagues and had a hand in all aspects of technology. Today, he draws from his experiences at Google to help companies around the world learn how to build a sustainable culture of innovation. At Automation Nation, Merrill will examine the fusion of culture, innovation and automation.

"Douglas is just one example of the creative, tech-savvy and inspirational minds that converge for Automation Nation," added Hodge. "Thanks to our wonderful partners and high caliber of thought leaders that participate in the event each year, Automation Nation continues to outdo itself – it's shaping up to be the best one yet."

Automation Nation is made possible by the more than 500 partners and vendors that attend it each year. This year's three-day event will feature an agenda tailored to the unique interests of partners including service technicians, operations managers and business executives – with tracks appealing to both the technical and non-technical audience. The event includes in-depth training, peer-to-peer insights and thought leadership from LabTech experts and participating LabTech partners.
