Hudson Robotics to Participate in the 2014 NICBR Spring Research Festival

Hudson Robotics, a leader in laboratory robotics instrumentation, will be exhibiting at the 2014 National Interagency Confederation for Biological Research (NICBR) Spring Research Festival. The Festival will be held May 5-8, 2014 at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research, located within the Fort Detrick U.S. Army facility in Frederick, Maryland.

The goals of the Spring Research Festival are to share research with scientists, citizens, and students and to facilitate collaboration between partner agencies. This event will include two seminar sessions, a keynote speaker, and poster sessions. Staff and students will be presenting their research as part of the event.

In addition to the presentations, the event will feature an exhibition including booths from local agencies, educational opportunities, safety and scientific displays, and exhibits from commercial companies highlighting the latest technologies in scientific equipment. The exhibition allows NICBR partners and peers from the local scientific community an opportunity to view new product developments as they transition from the research laboratory to the marketplace.

More than 200 exhibit booths will display state-of-the-art equipment designed to facilitate biomedical research including DNA synthesis, genetic engineering, electrophoresis, cell culture, chromatography, and other applications.

Hudson Robotics is a leader in microplate automation, laboratory robotics, liquid handling and customized software-driven solutions for life-science research. The company provides tools that can be used in areas such as drug discovery, clinical research and pharmaceutical development, including high throughput screening, proteomics and genomics.

"Hudson Robotics is pleased to be participating in the Spring Research Festival, and is looking forward to sharing its technology with the biological research community," notes Alan H. Katz PhD, Chief Scientific Officer of Hudson Robotics.

Hudson Robotics will be located in Booth #234. The exhibit hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7th and Thursday, May 8th. The Festival is open to NICBR partners and to the public, but appropriate clearance must be obtained to access the base.
