Software Toolbox Rolls Out New Version of OPC Data Logger

Software Toolbox, a supplier of industrial automation software, has rolled out a new variant of OPC Data Logger that supports OPC UA connectivity.

The addition of the OPC UA specification expands the choices for OPC Data Logger connectivity and allows it to securely connect to OPC data sources.

OPC Data Logger provides a high-quality value option for the automation industry’s data-logging requirements. Software Toolbox designed OPC Data Logger for OEMs, integrators, and users who look to swiftly execute data-logging of production data that is accessed from OPC UA and OPC DA servers. The production data can then be managed by applications such as Excel, Test Files/CSV, MySQL, SQL, and Oracle.

OPC Data Logger is ideal for applications that do not need a fully-featured historian for the application. Software Toolbox stated that the wizard-driven configuration dialogs enable convenient and swift set-up and customization. Utilization of native drivers for connections to SQL Server MySQL, and Oracle assures reliable performance. Additional features of the OPC Data Logger include triggered stop or start of logging functions based on events and timers. The device supports all previous and existing Windows OS.
