World’s First Somnox Sleep Robot to be Unveiled at CES 2018

Somnox (http://www.somnox.nl), the world's first sleep robot developed to start a global sleep revolution, will make its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018, the world's gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies.

Press will be able to get 'hand's on' with the Somnox sleep robot for the first time during CES 2018 at the Las Vegas Sands Hotel, Eureka Park, Hall G-51522, Booth #42 and Showstoppers at CES on Tuesday evening, January 9, 2018 at the Wynn Hotel.

How Somnox Works.
According to a recent report from the CDC, more than a third of American adults do not get enough sleep. The Somnox sleep robot works by using scientifically proven cognitive and simulated human breathing techniques to accelerate the process of falling asleep. Its users snuggle Somnox and subconsciously replicate the breathing rhythm of the robot. Research has shown that breathing is essential to naturally reduce stress and increase relaxation. Additionally, the Somnox sleep robot provides users with audio. Soothing sounds such as heartbeats, lullabies and guided meditation are included in the accompanying app, which is available on both iPhone and Android smartphones. Users can also upload personal audio files to the app. Personal preferences can be set during the day and ensure a tailored approach to improve the user's sleep during the night. "Knowing about sleep is nice and there are plenty of apps out there that help track your sleep, but it's time for a device like Somnox that actually does something to help you get to sleep," said Somnox co-founder, Julian Jagtenberg. "Somnox is the ultimate sleep companion for people who want to fall asleep faster, sleep longer and wake up naturally feeling better. Our mission to help 100,000 people achieve a good night's rest with the world's best natural sleep solution is now a reality."

Somnox Research and Development
Somnox received feedback from more than 5,000 people over the course of 24 months of research and development, which resulted in hundreds of prototype iterations. To ensure the best product possible, Somnox carried out 57 intensive sleep trajectories with selected test sleepers. Somnox co-designed the sleep robot with Royal Auping, Europe's leading circular mattress manufacturer, to provide the ultimate comfort through a sustainable product with high quality materials. The sleep robot will be manufactured and produced at Royal Auping's facilities in The Netherlands.

Initially launched for sale on Kickstarter, Somnox exceeded its crowdfunding goal by 200 percent. Due to the overwhelming interest in Somnox, the sleep robots are also now available for Indiegogo InDemand for €499 euros or USD $549 USD. The sleep robot is now in production, with Kickstarter orders due to ship in July 2018 and Indiegogo orders estimated to ship in September 2018.
