Expert in Robotic Prostatectomy Surgery Informs Size of Prostate May Indicate Severity of Prostate Cancer

According to a research team at the Vanderbilt University Medical Centre and the Vice Chairman of the Department of Urology and Chief of Robotics and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Centre, Dr. David Samadi, the size of prostate could indicate the severity of the prostate cancer found in patients.

First Robotic Surgery for Lung Cancer Treatment Performed at St. John’s Hospital

The first robotic surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System for the treatment of lung cancer and other non-malignant thoracic diseases was performed at the St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood. The surgery was performed by cardiothoracic surgeons of the hospital, David Joyce and Mathew Cooper.
