Commercial Usage of UAS: NAR President Testifies Before House Judiciary Subcommittee

Today, National Association of Realtors® President Chris Polychron testified before the U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet at a hearing entitled "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: Commercial Applications and Public Policy Implications." NAR testified on the growing interest in the use of unmanned aircraft systems, or drones, their commercial application in the real estate industry, and Realtor® perspectives on legislative and regulatory efforts to advance safe drone use in the commercial space.

Chimpanzee ‘Attacks’ Drone with a Stick

Cool. Calm. And oh, so calculated. That’s how a chimpanzee living in the Royal Burgers’ Zoo in the Netherlands set out to swat an aerial drone that was filming her group. In an article1 in the journal Primates² published by Springer, Jan van Hooff and Bas Lukkenaar explain it as yet another example of chimpanzees’ make-do attitude to using whatever is on hand as tools.
