MVTec, global provider of machine vision solutions, has declared that Dr. Olaf Munkelt, Managing Director of MVtec, will demonstrate the latest HALCON software featuring integrated development environment (IDE) at the HALCON 3D machine vision software seminar. The seminar will be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre on February 24, 2011.

HALCON serves as an innovative software for machine vision applications. Its enhanced functionality features have made the software so popular in the machine vision segment. It facilitates GPU acceleration and offers an extensive support for multi-core platforms.

The new version of the HALCON software features a comprehensive library of around 1600 operators for performing several tasks like blob testing, morphology, calculation, matching, recognition and three-dimensional vision. It enables several three-dimensional machine vision applications like multi-view three-dimensional calibration, three-dimensional alignment, shape-based three-dimensional matching, circle and rectangle pose, sheet of light and depth from focus.
