Emerson, leading provider of industrial automation and network power solutions, has increased its cash reward to $5 million for the Saint Louis Art Museum.
This is the biggest corporate cash reward ever offered to the museum. The initial commitment of the company to the museum was $3 million.
In the previous month, Brent Benjamin, Director of the Saint Louis Art Museum, declared their $145 million worth expansion campaign’s public phase. Till date, the museum has received a commitment of $142 million worth rewards with the support of Emerson.
The museum is undergoing expansion and its inauguration is likely to be held in the beginning of 2013. Under the leadership of David Farr, Chief Executive, Emerson has funded several projects at the museum for the last thirty years. In the 1970s, the firm sponsored the museum’s capital campaign for renovating the East Wing and the Sculpture Hall.
