2022's new categories include recognition for AI in Climate, AI in Creative Industries and AI in Sport; and there will also be recognition for women making an impact in AI via the Trailblazer Award.
In addition to these new categories, the Awards have increased the prize money on offer, with $30,000 to be shared among the Grand Award winners.
Partnership
After delivering an exceptional and quality inaugural WAI Awards 2021 event, WAI is delighted to partner again with Andra Müller, Director of Jewelrock to produce the WAI Awards 2022 Australia – New Zealand.
Supporting efforts is Angela Kim, Head of Analytics and AI at Teachers Health, who is acting as both WAI Australia Ambassador and Education Head for WAI Global.
“These awards are held to recognise and celebrate the incredible work of women in AI across our region and bring the AI community together with leaders across industry, government and academia to work together for AI for social good and to address diversity, inclusion and gender bias in AI”.
“WAI is dedicated to empowering more females in AI and technology to ensure females can thrive in the digital economy in the future,” said Angela Kim, the new WAI Australia Ambassador.
