DENSO Robotics has released an upgraded edition of the WINCAPS III offline programming software.
The software allows for a robot to be encoded in an offline computer, thereby, saving a lot of time during development. The new version also makes remote monitoring of work cell operations possible through real time I/O status indicators and exhaustive control logs. The most significant feature of the software is the three-dimensional simulation package, which enables quick and easy laying out of an entire automation work cell in virtual space.
The latest version uses more of robotic native command language; hence, the processing is faster and it presents an accurate cycle-time representation. Use of native language facilitates the recording of the simulation session and saving it in an AVI file for future reference. Another up gradation in the software is the Easy Tech feature; this allows the user to shift the robot to a specific point by just clicking on the site in the virtual space. The arm parameters are also considered by the software, which helps to arrive at a more accurate model of the actual performance of the robot. The software enables advanced editing functions such as viewing of command-step hints when right clicked on a particular command.
