Titan Medical Enhances its Robotic Surgical Platform Using LiveData’s RTI Server

Titan Medical and LiveData have signed a licensing and development agreement for six years. LiveData provides real-time display and data integration technology.

The agreement provides Titan Medical with an exclusive licence on the LiveData RTI server, in order to use the technology for the Amadeus Composer. This licence is valid worldwide and for use on the Amadeus Composer Robotic surgical platform.

Amadeus Composer is a robotic surgical system developed by Titan Medical which surgeons can use to gather information from many sources and also use for training purposes. Switching between these two applications can be done easily without causing interruptions in either of the processes. Titan Medical intends to use the LiveData RTI server for providing unique comprehensive displays that will be of help to surgeons. The engine of the server is a real-time integrator which combines separate systems like medical devices from vendors, in-house applications, hospital information systems and data structures. The combined data is streamed live and converted to visual displays. The president of Titan Medical explained that by combining the LiveData information system with the Amadeus Composer they will be able to provide surgeons with exclusive patient information on the console. Through this, the surgeons will have the critical information pertaining to the patients readily available.
