RURO revealed that they have entered into a strategic contract with Angelantoni Industrie to integrate the RURO FreezerPro software with Angelantoni’s line of robotic freezer solutions, the SmartFreezer.

This partnership will yield advanced storage solutions for samples that need to be preserved at very low storage temperatures. Typically, medical and government labs will require ultra-low storage solutions.
The marketing manager of Angelantoni regarded the partnership as one that mutually benefits both the companies. He added that the first collaboration with RURO was successful in integrating the SmartFreezer with the FreezerPro software from RURO, by adding safety and convenient features to their product. Some of the important features offered by the Smart Freezer are automated robotic sample storage, retrieval, storage temperature range of -80 to -180°C, facility to accommodate different vials of shapes and sizes, support for two dimensional barcodes/RFID tags, touch screen interface for loading and requesting the samples. It can be integrated with the RURO FreezerPro Enterprise which enhances its safety and reporting features. The freezer is capable of providing detailed audit logs and complete traceability. The Smart Freezer is compliant with the GLP/GMP requirements laid down by the FDA. By integrating with the software from RURO, the freezer is fully automated and capable of providing storage temperatures of -180°C.
