China Techenery has placed a purchase order for non-safety automation and control products with Hollysys Automation Technologies.
The non-safety automation and control products will be used at the nuclear reactor numbered three at the Yangjiang Nuclear Power Station. More orders are expected for the other reactors at the Nuclear Station.
The Yangjiang nuclear power station is located at Guangdong and has received financial aid from China Guangdong Nuclear Power Holding. The power station generates power with the help of six 1GW pressurised water reactors that operate on CGNPC’s proprietary CPR-1000 technology. Coming to the nuclear safety and control equipment from Hollysys, they supply instrumentation and control system products that cater to conventional island automation system and auxiliary facilities. Their equipment supports various applications, testing and emergency command systems.
The products are classified into two broad categories, namely, nuclear power plant and control systems and nuclear power plant information systems. Some of the digital control systems are Distributed Control Systems, HAMS, OTS and Programmable Logic Controller etc. Some of the non-nuclear control systems are high-speed signaling system for Train Control Centers and Automated Train Protection that are built on the SCADA platform.
