WSGI Announces Successful Completion of Argus One UAV Payload Testing

World Surveillance Group recently declared that it has successfully accomplished payload testing in Nevada for tethered flights of the Argus One UAV in compliance with the mission parameters set by its sponsor.

Along with its technical partner, WSGI started the integration of the government-provided, classified payload during the Q1of 2012. Following the integration process, the flight tests of the Argus One and the initial set of payload were completed in Nevada. These tests will further continue in Easton, MD.

According to the President and CEO of WSGI, Glenn D. Estella, the company is happy with the outcome resulting from the payload and flight testing of the Argus One and anticipates further testing of the Argus One with classified payloads in order to promote the functional potential of the Argus One UAV to its sponsors. This is a milestone for WSGI as part of development and commercialization of its Argus One airship. The company awaits execution of its airship related strategic plan.

WSGI designs, manufactures, and commercializes lighter-than-air autonomous UAVs that can efficiently carry payloads at low, mid, and high altitudes for persistent security or wireless communications solutions. By integrating WSGI’s airships with electronics systems as well as other high technology payloads, it serves to be effective for government and other commercial missions entailing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance in real-time or communication support for homeland defense, military, border control, natural disaster relief, drug interdiction, and maritime missions.
