Trimble to Offer RFID Technology to Industrial Automation Firms

Trimble has declared that it has acquired Thing Magic, a pioneer in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, for an undisclosed amount.

Trimble has reported that this acquisition has enabled them to expand its TrimbleaEUR(TM) technology contribution to its current markets as well as into new segments.

Tremble’s latest devices will incorporate ThingMagic technology and will offer development platforms, ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID reader engines and design services to various dealers, industrial automation companies, automotive and consumer industries.
